Foxtam AC current transducers can measure current either directly (max 7.5 Amps) or via the secondary of a current transformer, either 0-1 Amp or 0-5 Amp. The transducer converts the AC input current to an isolated analogue DC mA or DC voltage analogue signal output, directly proportional to the input. The 4KV isolated output signals can be utilised for many applications and can be fed into analogue meters, digital meters, PLC’s or BMS systems.

In this section the wide range of CEWE INSTRUMENT BLUE MODULE Transducers is described - these are suitable for DIN-rail mounting.
Owing to their excellent performance and high reliability (e.g. a MTBF of 40 years for current transducers) CEWE INSTRUMENT transducers are now used by power utilities and industry in over 20 European countries as well as in other parts of the world.
The output from our transducers are, within certain limits, independent of load. The load limits are given on the data sheets. The load impendence is obtained by feedback of the output signal to the input of the amplifier.
These transducer characteristics give great advantages among which the most important are:-
Measuring unit can be measured over relatively long distances.
Within the framework of permitted output signal loadings, several measuring or registration units can be connected simultaneously to the same transducer. No special tuning is required.
They have a wide range of applications because of there high accuracy and the fact that they are approved in accordance with interference tests IEC 255 -5 and -6, both for input and output signals.

A din rail mounted four way AC current transducer. Accepting up to four inputs from the miniature split core current transformers supplied as a "kit" with the unit and giving four isolated analogue voltage signal outputs, either 0-5V DC or 0-10V DC. The maximum primary current possible is 50Amps which is compatible with the 10mm ID of the split core CT. The YW4 has individual pairs of terminals for the CT inputs, whilst the output channels share a common 0V rail. The YW4 requires a separate AC or DC supply voltage with isolation offered via an internal transformer or DC to DC converter.

Foxtam frequency transducers measures “mains” frequency either directly or via a voltage transformer. The transducer converts the input signal to either a DC mA or DC voltage analogue signal output, directly proportional to the input. All frequency transducers are self powered and do not require a separate auxiliary supply. The 4KV isolated output signals can be utilised for many applications and can be fed into analogue meters, digital meters, PLC’s or BMS systems.

PXF-20
A din rail mounted pulse frequency to analogue signal converter and isolator, only 22.5mm wide. Input frequency range selection is via a rotary switch on the front panel. Input source can be from either NPN, PNP or NAMUR selectable by the connecting to various input terminals. Output selection is also via a choice of wiring options on the output terminals. The front panel is also fitted with dual LED indication to give at a glance status, plus adjustable zero and span potentiometers.
Freqcon
The FREQCON is a frequency to analogue converter which can be programmed using a PC to perform any frequency to analogue converting function. The range of frequency input available is 0 - 1MHz and any offset can be introduced on the input . In addition a 21 point look-up table can be used to linearise non-linear inputs, with other linearisation functions such as square-root and custom polynomial also being available. The operational status of the unit is indicated by the front panel LED, a slow flashing indicating normal operation, a fast flash indicating an input failure, or hard off indicating a power supply failure. The unit can only be powered by any D.C. supply from 16 to 32 volts.

420i
The 420i loop powered isolator is a 0(4)-20mA direct current isolator. The isolator derives its power from the input signal and therefore requires no external power supply.
Two other variants are also available. The 420i-1 which has a built in precision 250Ù resistor to give a 1-5V output, and the 420V which gives a 0-10V output from a 4-20mA input, whilst dropping just 5V from the input loop.
420-TW
The 420-TW series of isolating terminal blocks can replace standard DIN-rail terminals to provide input isolation, signal conversion and excellent RFI and noise rejection. Input available include thermocouple, RTD, current and voltage and the standard output is 4-20mA. For thermocouple inputs, internal rotary switches allow the user to select virtually any type of thermocouple and the temperature range required.

An attractive modern design AC voltage transducer in a din rail mounted modular style housing of 1.5 modules width (27mm). The MOD-U voltage transducer is designed to measure AC voltage in a single phase system. It will convert the AC signal to a DC voltage output that is directly proportional to the input signal. The MOD-U is a self powered device (i.e. no auxiliary required). The output from the MOD-U is an isolated 0-10VDC.

Look at this for a great idea, do you ultimately need an analogue signal for your current measurement ? Many of the CTs feature a plug in transducer module option.
Just twist of the secondary terminal covers and remove the secondary terminal screws. Screw in the brass transformer to module connecting studs and plug in the NMC module.
Each NMC transducer block will give two different isolated analogue outputs. Also the secondary of the current transformer is repeated, if this repeat facility is not required the supplied shorting link must be left in situ. It is possible to generate 0-20mA and 0-10VDC without any auxiliary supply (self powered module version). Please note that the self powered versions can only be used on current transformers with an output of at least 2.5VA, if a 4-20mA signal is required in all cases an auxiliary supply is required, 24VDC, 110VAC or 230VAC.
